Folks - I asked this in the Hilton area - but IHG and Hyatt are my other two other two options!
Roughly (in Aus) - how many nights do I need in the intercontinental (at about $300 per night) to accumulate enough points for a reward night.
Still trying to suss out where to stay next week (and for the next three months) - based on free nights for a family holiday at the end of this!
Cheers :-)

You generally earn points at 10x US$ excluding taxes.

I guess points required for rewards range from 20,000 points/night to 50,000 points/per night excluding points + pay. You'll earn the majority of your points from promotions such as Accelerate.

Think you need to start reading some of threads on here and Flyertalk.

Thanks - yea, I know - I have been trying, but soooooo much info to digest and I want to check into a hotel in Perth this evening :-)
I will try the new intercontinental I think - and will ask them if they can offer anything for long-term (I reckon I could be here for 6 mths).

Personally I find IHG easier than Hilton to earn reward nights.

Accelerate for me this quarter is ~50,000 bonus points for 6 night stay + any normal points for those 6 nights.
