But speaking of odd blends, or what I would regard as odd, this is this one I had in Cordoba. I was asking after Pedro Ximinez and the waiter suggested a ‘white one’.

So for the cheese (and what amazing cheese!) I selected the hundred percent stuff. Gloriously puce and treacley and so rich you have had to think about the next sip each time.

Then at the end the maître ‘d seeing my interest in Pedro Ximinez, apparently a favourite of his too, poured me a glass of it which he said was the top shelf stuff.

Interesting.

But neither that nor @TheRealTMA's wine indicate the proportion of riesling. Obviously small - but the question has to be, particularly in the case of yours, - why the bit of rizza?
