How is the 18 Wendouree Cab drinking mate?
Well!
Quite light (lighter than was expecting) and very approachable. Usual cab traits. Well balanced, tannins were subtle and let the fruit do the talking. Enjoyed it, and whilst could easily go longer, I'd say its on it's optimal plateau. Opened 6 hrs b4 consumption/dinner.

'08 all tertiary and disappointing. Opened an hr before dinner ans never got better.

'98 mild tertiary but structure and fruit still there. Opened just before tea and took a while to blow off and open up. Once did just started singing and quickly ran dry...

Interesting assessment on these, they seem to be more drinkable earlier of late. I might give the 18 a crack as well. Cheers for the notes. I had a 90 Cab Malbec with fam a few years back it was sensational through the whole wine. 🍷
