VH-OQL and VH-OQA did the charters back on Friday, QF337 and QF339 to LAX and SFO

Are these spare A380's or did some flights get cancelled for this?

I flew QF12 on 8 September from LAX and it was changed from usual A380 to 787 so I guess they just swapped some planes around (was changed in my booking a few months ago)

Saw OQA at SFO in the Harvey Milk terminal and had to double back. Looks like it fed on to LAX then back to SYD.

No, it was a ferry flight with flight number QF6xx_

Same for OQL when it ferried MEL-SYD after operating LAX-MEL as the passenger carrying QF94 (after they dropped off the LA Rams)

QF domestic business lounge Saturday morning was packed full of Americans either going home via SYD or travelling onwards in Australia I guess. I think it was a really positive event for Melbourne and Australia

Definitely did more for tourism Australia than any campaign they launched in recent times.

We have to remember that this taps into a fanbase and crowd that aren't necessarily the usual tourists and wouldn't have gone out of their way to consume tourism content.
