News chopper crashes near Perth

News.com.au said:
A Channel 10 news cameraman has been taken to hospital after a helicopter crash east of Perth, but the pilot has escaped uninjured.

Police said the cameraman was filming a truck rollover at Baskerville in the Swan Valley at about 11am (WST) on Saturday when the chopper crashed.

He has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital for observation, with ABC Radio reporting he may have suffered spinal injuries.

A Fire and Emergency Services Association spokesman told AAP the helicopter was on its side in a paddock with the tail section broken off.

I hope the two who were on board get to recover quickly.Helicopter crashes can be quite nasty.
Channel 10 has been running poorly and needed to hit up their shareholders to stay afloat. It is a financial mess.
If you followed Lachlan into Ten shares you would have only a little bit left.
We actually watch their early evening news so at 5 pm we know they can have 2 viewers!

I was glad to hear of the survivors especially given the fatalities in the recent London helicopter crash.

Perth does not have too much fog like London can have. The crash in London was was awful.
Are you handling the weather in London like it is just another winter? We get there in about 4 weeks! It is Los Angeles first for work and we are trying BA for the flight across the Atlantic.

Very well! Went for a couple of hours walk with Mrs Flashware today trudging through the snow.

You'll be happy with BA especially if you get to fly in their New First.

Yes we are trying their First product to cut across the ditch direct instead of doing some hopping. Right now I guess some places in the northern hemisphere would like a bit of the global warming.
I don't think the cameraman will be wanting to go on a helicopter again.

Always good to see someone wearing a stiffneck collar but sitting up. Great immobilization technique *cough cough*

Did it say what brought the aircraft down? (I have no sound here)
