Isn't it dreadful how they actually address the children on-board instead of just ignore their existance.

Nah, they can include them in 'ladies and gentlemen' because children on flights are supposed to behave like proper young ladies and young gentlemen :p

I guess it demonstrates that we currently have 3 levels of major airlines flying domestically in Australia at present...

No Frills.....Jetstar, Tiger and Air Asia soon

Few Frills....Virgin as they migrate up the food chain (when will Virgin Lite occur??)

More Frill, but less than the good ole days.....Qantas

At each level you get a bit more customer service and back up when things go wrong.

However I guess there is also a new reality now that many airfares are so cheap about how much we can expect from an Airline when a flight is cancelled and in particular for cheap domestic flights.

I mean how many other businesses would compenasate customers with more than what the original purchase was worth??

ie an airfare may have been bought for say $50- 100.....so can one reasonablly expect a hotel room or taxis? though yes ceratainly the terminal should be kept open.

So what is reasonable??
