Can you still upgrade on cheaper flights if bought before Feb 2015? Was hoping to upgrade a Sydney to Auckland next month.

Yes. As long as the original ticket has been bought no later than today, you can upgrade under the old rules next month.

This always makes me laugh ' You can upgrade a Flex or Flex Plus fare at any time before departure from Economy Class to Business Class or Business Class to First Class'.
In my experience not strictly true as I always purchase a Flex ticket and have only ever been able to upgrade at the airport and not before - Dxb to Sydney.

Most of the direct flights from DXB to SYD or MEL are close to full of paying passengers in J or F, so they only make D or Z bucket seats available in advance every now and then. IME you've got a much better chance of an earlier upgrade if you go via KUL, SIN or BKK in the 773

I see the new fare types and upgrade rules still haven't kicked in.

Deciding whether or not to purchase flights to India for next x-mas and do upgrades now or later.

Hi guys have been looking at MEL - jul on emirates but there does not seem to be any availability of their saver fares to KUL right up to 1st week Jan 16. Is this normal for emirates , have never used points here before so curious what you guys think and whether i should stop adding to my collection of points here and move on to a different airline.. (economy / Business class seats)
