Following on from the QR announcement at the Farnborough Air Show, Turkish have announced theirs - and this time, a marked step-up from their previous offering (2-3-2). Apparently its basically the same, or similar to Qantas' A350 sunrise J seats and Air India's new ones - Safran Unity; with doors and other styling features.

You can read it yourself: Turkish Airlines unveils all-new Crystal Business Class

Said to be on aircraft servicing Australia from 2026 - as usual, that should be taken with a grain of salt, but put it together with the outstanding catering of TK, this will also be something to look forward to.

Looks good - would be great if they would have this on my SIN-IST Boeing 777 flight next year, currently showing a 2-3-2 layout in J 😅

No idea of this the right place to post but no doubt the overpaid Mods will shift it to correct thread 👍

No this is nothing like SQ Regional - this is far superior to that product - seat is even comfortable to sit in - so far an excellent experience - Crew are great but the do already have their ‘Gifts’ - but I cannot believe how lightly this plane is crewed - only 1- Crew total including Flight and Cabin - SQ have 15 or 16 or even 17 total sometimes

Edit: Oops premature exaltation - you are totally trapped in seat once table deployed and meal tray arrives

I should have posted this pic earlier - pre takeoff drink was Taittinger Champs in glass - after I finished first glass a Crew Member whisked the glass away / the female Crew Member who actually served the first glass came past and saw me empty handed and asked would like another Champs to which I replied YES please - this is how second ‘glass’ delivered:

Just some final impressions of TK168 SIN-MEL May 11:
  • After takeoff Pursur worked her way through the J cabin offering a personal greeting to all p[ax – that was impressive.
  • Hard product was really quite reasonable – seat width was ample after i finally discovered arm rests could be lowered – seat itself quite comfortable to sit on – NFI if bed was soft or hard or indeed large enough as being a daytime flt i did not deploy bed at all.
  • Soft product so so – service
  • Was so so considering flt is totally under crewed – intent was perfect but they just keep going missing for extended periods – after Crew member gave me ‘Gift Selection List’ returned to me which indicated total Crew of 11 incl Flight and Cabin Crew. I asked how you keep up – she said we run the whole flt. I have no doubt I rcvd the best service in the cabin but if you wanted something you had to push the call button.
  • Food was really very ordinary and meal delivery / presentation is quite basic – very underwhelming.
  • Taittinger Champs was quite welcome but could have been chilled a tad more. Wine selection of 5 different reds looked impressive at start – 2 Turkish wines at top of list I rated ok to just so so at best – the other 3 rewally ordinary to barely drinkable. After sampling all 5 reds I tried to revert back to top of list but wasd informed allocxation of that wine for that sector was exhausted and remaining bottles onboard were being kept for return leg MEL-SIN. At this point I said just give me whatever you have and that was the last drink I had on the sector.
  • My first ever experience with Denon headphones which seemed really comfortable to wear. But I was kinda surprised no ear muff covers provided – you just used as supplied – I assume they would sanitise each set between flts – or not?
  • The Chef running through cabin in his Chef’s outfit did look kinda funny – but It’s part of their profile so it is what it is.
Would I fly them again? At the price for a daytime sector and timing of flt prolly YES but they would not be 1st
