I'm a veteran QFF who thinks KrisFlyer looks superior now Amex are offering parity but there's some questions - My interest is only in first & business cabins (hence my reason for looking over the fence...)
KF offer saver and non saver type redemptions - Does non saver mean every seat available for sale is available for redemption?
On looking at availability, I notice I can regularly secure one leg but must waitlist another - which sorta throws up all sorts of risks - has anyone experience with waitlisting - is it a risk worth taking or should I keep flipping the calendar until I secure all legs?
If I come up short on the waitlist leg, and so cancel the secured leg - is there a points penalty? (yes, I did call KrisFlyer but couldn't quite get my ears around her accent and gave up)
I guess the question is: Will SingAir send a flight away with vacant seats and redemptions waiting - as Qantas will/does - or will they fill vacant seats with redemptsters?
Has anyone flown First in both Qantas and SingAir? Any comments?
QFF offers the ability to see a whole month of availability - and I wish it were a whole year, but beggars/choosers, you know how it is - is there a KrisFlyer option better than checking each day separately?
