New SG card arrived early ?

So I arrived back home 22/03 after a long weekend jaunt to AKL flying in J. Flew EK with QF codeshare. When I got home I was only on 530 SC's as it seemed to take 2-3 days for point to post from the codeshare flight. So 3 days before my points posted a new card turned up in the mail dated 18/03. Does this happen purely because my booked flights would get me to re-qualify and they are just expediting the process ?? The way the letter read it almost looked as if they were suggesting comping me (of course with the benefit of seeing my bookings) Cheers CM

If your three year average for the last three membership years (including this year) is above the SC needed to requalify they may decide to comp you once which is what it sounds like has happened, but if by the end of the membership year you have earnt the necessary SC to requalify it won't count as the comp and should still be available in the future (but don't count on it).
