I noticed this morning that the QF in-flight safety video seems to have changed. It still resembles the old one, but begins with "Feels like home" and has some new faces. Anyone know when this came in?

No idea. Every QF flight I've had this year has either had no videos (eg, Dash-8s) or the IFE screen is been unavailable during taxi/take off/landing.

First saw this video about 3 weeks ago, although I only had it once out of the 7 flights since, on all on B738's

Interesting. I saw this today on an A330 flight, but my other 2 737 flights this week had the old video.

I've seen both variations on multiple flights not sure of the rhyme or reason.

I first saw the new version about six weeks ago and have only had it twice since. Hasn't been rolled out extensively for some reason??

Pretty sure I saw the new version maybe 6 weeks ago too. But have had different vids and I tend to watch the FA more than the video, even though I can recite the basic message by heart anyway.

IIRC the "new version" came in with the A330 Business Suite, and I have only seen the modified one (that's how I think of it) on those aircraft, with the old boring one on all others.

It's about time they revamp them all.. just as long as they don't bring back a rendition of the horrendous "Hello Skipper" cricket one from a few years back... :)

Agree with this. I think they had to make major changes to the video for the suites?. My last two 330 trips were on non-refurbs with the dreaded work-bench in J and it was the 'old' safety in style video. I actually don't mind the current one; looks quite professional and the lead FA can actually pronounce the words properly!

Not sure if the video referred to is same as in around 6 min. clip in this link:

Qantas partners with Tourism Australia on new safety video | Australian Aviation

This is developed with TA and i would think it would be shown on international flights.

The referred video is different to the new Australian tourism safety video. I noticed the change on two A330 flights (NRT-BNE; BNE-SYD) on my return yesterday, which were different to the outbounds late last year. I read the news and was expecting a new video, but it was different to the "new new" one, if that makes sense.

The AFR reported new video will be introduced across both domestic and international fleet.
