As per my earlier post - the bird is showing as one of the older types with J Mk 1 seats in the nose - OJA, OJC or OJI. No F seats for the price of J on this bird. I see that 16A and 16B are now blocked and 4E,F are occupied, so can only assume that you have moved into the nose cabin - nice and quiet, and accessible to both PAX.

Right on the nose, so to speak! Decided that a better nights sleep would be had in zone A. Much as I would like to try the UD, it will have to wait.

Thanks for all the help. About to get on the SAA A330 to joburg, so it will be interesting to compare cabins... I suspect the QF offering may fall a little short!

Sorry if this has been asked previously, but what do you suggest are the better seats on a 747 from Syd-DFW? (2 J pax)
3E/F or Row 7 or 8.

The above is pretty much all that is available for us.

Thanks.

You think SA run a better product PER-JNB than QFF on SYD-JNB?

I have done both SA & QF.

I like the SA J hard product. It was very comfortable and easy to sleep on. I did feel a little high off the floor. However, the staff were a bit snotty and had a bit of attitude. Their catering was definately not up to QF standards. Their catering were very oily/greasy. No PJs so I simply wore my QF ones and they were great.

Hi, just booked QF108 in economy for next September. Any thoughts on 60K & H in terms of leg room. Is it a normal bulkhead or does it have a cutout? Having extremely long legs,I find normal bulkhead excruciatingly painful, however find the cutouts work really well. I've put in an EF alert for row 43 but I'm sure these won't be released to Gold until much closer to the date. Another possibility is the twos in the back. Has any tall people tried these.
