I routinely click on 'New Posts' each time I open AFF to scan what may be of interest since my last visit. Posts where I am the last poster don't show up (I would prefer they did but no big deal). However posts from various forums eg Hilton often don't show up and I have to manually check each forum. Hilton is just an example. It could be any forum and I haven't noticed a pattern. Does this happen to anyone else?

Have you tried marking all posts as read and starting again, as it gets quite cluttered quite fast and then hard to keep track of what is new.

Yes I have noticed the same thing as well. Threads where I last posted on them seem to completely dissappear for about 20-30mins and are often prompted as "re-appearing" in New Posts after someone else has contributed to the thread.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Screen capture here shows "New Posts" 5 mins after my previous post, maybe all new posts go into limbo before being added as new posts on a thread?

After you reply to a thread you’re taken to that reply anyway, and can then scroll up to see if anyone else has replied at the same time as you or while typing, so I don’t see the thread not coming back up until a reply after you as being a bug?

Given that the thread has been read once you have posted your reply as it takes you back to the thread and your posts I can't see why it should appear in new posts until someone else posts a reply.

As I need to read (where possible) all posts I largely only use the new posts link.

It does exactly what simongr has said which to me is perfectly logical. It shows you all new posts that you have not read.

I've followed Sam's tip and marked all forums of read and will see if that resolves the issue of posts not appearing.
