Hi, I am flying to the States in Jan, on arr in LAX i achieve QF Plat status :p (Thanks to you all at AFF )
My return flight is DEN/LAX/SYD on United & QF 12. What are my lounge options (I presume none till I arr in LAX!).Or can I access a lounge in Den as I am flying one world later in the day. (I my ff card will be the old gold too is that a problem?)
Thanks

No lounge in Denver as you are not flying oneworld.

Your only real option is the oneworld First Class lounge at TBIT. (Shame you are not flying AA from DEN as you would have had AC access there and FL access at LAX T4.)

Thanks Serfty, yes it is a shame I normally book my own travel but used an agent for this, he has been hopeless from start to finish (my fault for thinking he could book a trip in his specialst area without stuffing it up!) What happened to travel agents actually giving helpful advice...........?

New Plat Member also and just booking Dec/Jan flights to US. Don't have the 5 posts as yet to request best flight options but am finding these threads, as well as other very insightful.
Am spending lots of time researching and hoping to maximize my time in US to achieve some SC benefits.

I know this post is ~1 year old but is it only Platinums who have lounge access as long as they have any Qantas flight on the day?

So in theory I should be able to access lounge in DEN flying UA as I have an onward flight that day on Qantas.

No, oneworld status based access is "when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline".

It's for oneworld sapphire and emerald.

'departing' refers to the airport the lounge is at.

I don't know what I was thinking as Qantas does not have a lounge in DEN.
