Welcome to AFF Marieclaire - you have certainly come to the right place to learn - AFF is chock'a'block full of invaluable information furnished by a great bunch of very knowledgeable characters.

If you absorb any degree of information available here you will end up as an 'encyclopedia' rather than a simple 'magazine'. :D

Enjoy the ride MC.

Thank you all! My first plea for help is travel insurance for seniors, my husband has just turned 70, we are both in perfect health and are going away for 4 months so can't get an annual policy. The quotes I get are almost as much as the airfare!

Welcome.

Try Worldcare Insurance. You will pay a slight premium for age but otherwise they seem good value.

Welcome to AFF Marieclaire!

Your best bet would be to start a thread in the Travel Insurance sub-forum asking for advice but you probably should expect to pay ~AUD1,000 for a 4 month policy.

Hi Marieclaire, I noticed your post in the Travel Insurance forum and replied there (but have included below just for ease). May I say welcome to AFF, and I hope you find a decent travel insurance option.

There is a good thread here http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/travel-insurance/over-70-insurance-56135.html that should help.

Basically, unless you have more serious pre-existing injuries or illnesses, you should be ok. Gets trickier if you have previous spinal injury or other life changing events (then it can be quite a bugger!)
