New member going to Paris for Christmas 2016

Planning a family holiday to Europe and hope to be in Paris for Christmas/NY. We have Platinum membership with Virgin Australia plus points with Qantas.

Really hope to find some great tips here on upgrades to PE or Business for flights over.
