Temporary Lounge,

It's small, very small but its still somewhere to grab a quick drink or check your work emails (with my laptop, didnt see if they had any set up)

Temporary lounge. I'm fairly sure I heard (or read) somewhere that it is entry for bona-fide members only at the moment: they're not allowing walk-up-and-purchase-entry ATM. Entrance is in the same area as the currently-being-refurbished lounge.

Small sure, but it does the job - they have a few PC's set up, and the wireless in there seems to be a little flaky - one week it works, the next, no go.

The snacks they have in there are great, however - I usually grab an extra cheese and crackers and soft drink for the flight on my way out.

Sorry but the MEL Lounge will not be reopened today. We will however be introducing new menus, wines and uniforms today (soft launch). We will do the formal launch of the Lounge revamp when MEL is opened (not too far off). Would like to hear any feedback on the menus and wines in particular please.

actually dave, i was in the BNE temp lounge today and they still have the temp menu - told that BNE will get the new menu when the lounge re-opens

in the meantime i'll keep up my "one for the road" nougat and water habit

Will try new menu in Sydney on Saturday... Have a few flights out of MEL ov er next 3 weeks so hope I get the new lounge

Come on you are just being silly. Everyone knows that animal pick-up/drop-off is just to the right once you exit the terminal

Could you see HM on a VA domestic flight? She's in Ireland right now isn't she - first time in many a year for a British Monarch? Wouldn't it do wonders for her image to the common brits as well as Brit-Irish relations if she flew back to Luton/Stansted on Ryanair?


PS: Don't take offence - there are few who love Her Maj as much as I do
