It looks as if I'll be getting to fly in one of these next month as they are now on NRT-LAX :)
Wondering if anyone can tell me what the power outlets take and also any other tips and pointers for JAL F ?

The only tip I can provide is to allow plenty of time in the JAL FLounge to enjoy the very extensive and high quality beverages available (especially the whiskies).

Do you have a Tumi to allow for different plug points? The Tumi plug usually handles those with the choices you get with the slide out selection.

Dont know if its any help but following is copied from Seat guru which to me means the universal type plugs that take the USA style parrelel pins as well as our Angled type

"Quote from Seat Guru
All First, Business, and Premium Economy Class seats feature 110V AC power ports.
In seats equipped with AC Power, all you'll need is the standard wall power brick that came with your laptop or other electrical device. The power on the plane is typically 110V AC and features a semi-universal receptacle that accepts the following types of plugs:

  • US non-polarized 2-blade plug (both blades are the same size)
  • US polarized 2-blade plug (one blade is bigger than the other)
  • US non-polarized 2-blade plug with Ground (aka three-prong)
  • European standard 2-cylindrical prong plug (two round prongs)

That's great, thank you :)

I've been trying to find an excuse to try this myself, but alas, not yet! Very jealous.
The wine and champagne list is incredible - my advice is to take advantage of that and organise an airport transfer from LAX rather than hiring a car and driving immediately :)

Sorry to bump this up, but wondering how this flight was Princess Fiona?
Considering trying this to Europe (on a OW 420K) in a few weeks rather than my current itinerary on QF1 through DXB (which I've done to death). Worth going out of my way? :D

Late at night, will update tomorrow but yes it was a great flight :)

As promised, here's a short update.
Was a good flight, small cabin with 8 F seats in a 1-2-1 config in 2 rows Service was very polished if a little clinical say in comparison with CX. The 777 Sky Suite is quite superb in both seat and bed mode. Massive amount of room, especially if you are a side sleeper. Quite simply the best sleep I have ever had on a flight. The wine list was superb, bubbles 1999 Salon.
I was accompanied by my 8 yr old mini-me and she didn't want to get off the aircraft at LAX :D She has been spoiled forever

Thanks for the pics PF, the seat looks great!
I wonder if it can be booked with USDM.

I generally don't get flight envy because most of the perks are wasted on me but Im having it now over that comfy chair - the bed looks amazing.

Looks great! Thanks for posting PF. The wine list does look like a highlight!
Does it stack up to a QF First product? How was the food?
