Timing will be the key to get it as a transit port.
I live on the Sunny Coast and it is a 2ish hour drive to OOL Airport so it makes it hard if it is an early morning flight to make it happen.
I am suppose to be in KL this weekend but not going now but will drive to BNE and pay a few dollars extra and keep away from a LCC.
