Rugby already has ......two thumbs up

Back from our SIN trip and I was very happy with the comfort and performance of the QC 25s during both flights. Two thumbs up.

I'm looking at garbing some while in Santa Monica at the end of the month ......15's have served me well but now very battle scared and time to replace
Any other views / opinions on the 25's appreciated

I picked some up in Dubai the other day, they are AWESOME far better than anything else I've tried and used. I ended up going to Dr Dre Beats head phones as the old Bose's gave up but these new ones are just amazing. It just gets rid of the noise on the plane totally really enjoying them!

Anything would sound amazing compared to that.
There is nothing wrong with Beats if you like bass heavy headphones. Yes, they are stupidly overpriced and you look like a **** wearing them, but they're not all that bad.

I must be the only person in the world who hates Bose though. Over priced marketing. They make Beats look good in that regard.

I'd rather Sennheiser any day.

How do they compare with the QC15s? (The ability to run the headphones without the noise cancelling is nice for when you run out of batteries, I suppose.)

Still no blue tooth, noise cancelling headphones from Bose though. Once you experience cable-less ease, you'll wonder what took you so long to wake up.

Best you post in the appropriate thread ;)

Tried to upgrade in HK today at the IFC mall Bose Store and was told they were too new and they didn't have pricing yet - had to call customer service to get a price.

They look great. They sound great. A big improvement of the QC15's, even if only aesthetically.

Oh. The fact they work as regular headphones with no battery (no noise cancelling obviously) is a great and seemingly obvious addition.

Bose noise cancelling headphones do a great job at noise cancelling but the overall sound quality is no longer hi-fi to use an old fashioned term you cannot have the noise cancelling and full hi-fi at the same time. Use them off the plane and compare them to top shelf hi-fi phones and they are awful but that's not the point of them. The point is the noise cancelling technology and they do it well.

I bought a pair on the weekend ($399 discounted to $389 at JB Hifi and will claim back another 10% when I head off to Canada next ween) to replace my well worn Audio Technica noise cancelling headphones. I used them for a flight from Perth to Melbourne on Monday. Very happy overall, noise cancelling is excellent, sound quality is acceptable for what they are, and the small case is nice.

My only complaint, is there isn't a dedicated spot on the case for the cable, so I'm finding I leave it connected at the headphone end and just coil it up, but I'm not sure if this is the best thing for the cable.

Each to their own but I like to carry the bare minimum onto any plane that I can and on/over ear headphones are bulky and so are their cases. I have used in ear headphones for many years having bought the simply outstanding Etymotic ER4's about 10 years ago and having sadly just lost them I have replaced them with the Bose QC20i that are superb1

Does anyone know the price of the QC20i's at Dubai airport?

Will be passing through there in a few weeks, but not sure how pricing compares with AU?

Currently this model is on sale at Myer for $319 and I have a $50 myer gift card burning a hole in my pocket...

They're available on both Qantas and Virgin FF stores if you want to use up a few points.....I got mine from Virgin Rewards

Sorry for being a bit vague, second post, South Bend Indiana, at Best Buy.

Same here, got one at braddon last weekend and loving it (the '25s) more than i loved the '15s. The final test will be tomorrow morning though, when it gets its first matinee performance onboard a plane :)
