Has just appeared today with a big "NEW" flag next to it.

What I like:

-It uses your location to automatically select the "From" airport (for iPhone, you just have to make sure Location Services are enabled for Safari)
-It stores your previous flight searches and allows you to quickly select them
-It still permits ABN entry for those that use this reporting feature

What I don't like:
-Domestic and NZ capital cities are not prioritised in the list. When booking a BNE-MEL flight (as an example), you have to scroll through EVERY international destination (including EVERY codeshare etc), just to get to Melbourne (and being iPhone, you can't just click "M" to jump to the first destination starting with M. The smart thing to do would be to have something like: Adelaide/Auckland/Brisbane/Canberra/Christchurch/Darwin/Hobart/Melbourne/Sydney/Perth/Wellington (with each option being on a new line obviously), and then a long "---------------------------" (as its own line), and then every other destination arranged alphabetically. While this improvement wouldn't necessarily add any functionality to the mobile site, it would dramatically reduce the time taken to book flights within the country to Australia and NZ's major destinations. This would also be particularly helpful for visitors to Australia, who may not be familiar with the extended Qantas network.
-There is no easy way to cancel an incomplete booking short of closing the window (ie. no "start again" button)
-No multi-city bookings (one way or return only)... not sure I'd particularly want to use my phone to make a complex booking, but it may be helpful for some (eg. BNE-SYD-MEL-BNE).
-They remembered to program the credit card surcharge into the mobile platform :p

What are your thoughts? :)

I generally use the desktop site on my galaxy S3 as the screen is big enough to be usable. Gets around all of the limitations of the mobile site.

Good news, but it's about time QF came to the mobile party. JQ have had mobile flight booking for a while now.

Agree the long long list of cities by alpha in destination field is terrible.

Other than that. For a first cut it seems pretty Ok

I thought much the same as you except for this one point. I discovered it this morning while in SYD, so it set location to SYD. But typically I book flights most often from CBR or ADL. If I am searching to book flights using my mobile, it will typically be because I'm NOT in one of my home cities and away from my computer. So I'd like it not to have done this. I know I could have set it to not use location and it would have been fine, but I was actually about to choose CBR from the list when the location notification came up. So it was just poor timing.

Apart from that, so far so good. It was about time they got to this!

It doesn't seem to know that I'm in SIN. While it might sound like I'm asking for too much, SIN is the 2nd busiest hub in terms of the number of international QF flights.
