Does anyone know if the batteries on these can be replaced? And if so is it worthwhile?
Just noticed that Felicia's MacBook dies if unplugged from the mains power.
It is probably 3-4 years old, no issues with it so far apart from battery.

Depending on when it was manufactured, it may have a user replaceable battery or an internal battery.

Cost to replace an internal battery (through apple) should be between $180 and $220, many other places will do it for cheaper, but it probably won't be the genuine battery. Could be better, could be worse, could do damage to the Macbook (but unlikely).

Don't know the cost to replace an external battery with a genuine one - probably $150+. Again many other parties (including buying through Ebay) will also offer batteries. Could be genuine, could be non-genuine etc etc etc.

Replaced mrs PVC battery 6 months ago with a genuine from Comp Now store $109 similar age Mac book to yours. Back to 8 to 10 hours use again. Strange the original battery worked fine one day the next it just ceased to charge
