So some of us have been sent a new opinion poll by Amex. Looks like more cuts on the way or benefits getting added. Roll of the dice???

Just completed the survey. Questions around (a) Loyalty bonuses based on number of years -5,10,15 etc (b) Loyalty bonus around meeting spend criterion (c) Member only invites based on spend for special events (d) Tailor made events around spend again in the city/restaurants/hotels for meet and greet and networking (d) something around centurion lounge access in the city - more like coworking space (e) addition of centurion lounges/other lounges overseas (f) opinion on annual fee (g) likelyhood of renewing the card and the usual - are we happy with the benefits. Oh Also actual concierge services might come back

No wonder I didn't get the survey link with my $95/year standard Elevate card and $0 Velocity Escape card

That’s interesting because it was reported a few months ago that Amex was looking at new ways to reward loyal cardholders. Sounds like this work continues.

From what I could tell from the survey most of the so-called benefits being considered were complete fluff .... nothing of any substance. When asked to rank the options being considered I would have liked an option to place everything last. I don't want tailor-made events, or member only invites; I would prefer to tailor-make my own social life. As for co-working space', offer it on the Business product, not the Personal one. And I cannot even imagine what a loyalty bonus would look like. It would be better if the could concentrate on improving the existing benefits - points, forex fees,hotel status etc have all been diminished to the point of utter uselessness. One only has to compare to the US Platinum product to see how poor the Australian one is
