New Amex statement credits

Tech head no longer seems to work for direct utilities payment. Does it still work using indirect Postbillpay?

I've only done it via Postbillpay - first and only time was June 2025. Never tried direct.

PSA regarding the Tech Head cards via the Special GC deals via Amex.

The Tech Head cards seem to no longer work for utilities no matter the payment method. I couldn't use one to pay Origin or actweAGL direct, via postbillpay, or via paypal on postbillpay. Those utilities don't have paypal as a payment method either.

Not sure how I'll use the card now (JB, Officeworks?) but in future Amex deals I'll be buying the Outdoor Explorer (for fuel) or Supermarket Slayer (for food or some GCs).

I pretty much exclusively buy this particular gift card from Special whenever they throw us an offer from Amex.
Use it at 7-11, gets the Velocity points as well as price-locked fuel (when it works as intended).
An absolute no-brainer!

They do. But sometimes they keep them hidden from view in an effort to promote other cards. I've even seen them deny that they have them. When I say check your draw they miraculously find them!

I don't think Amex has had manual enrolment links for years.

Split payment. Just need to know how much is on the card. I do this via the Special app as the card value and running total is not shown in the apple wallet.
