New Amex statement credits

I have neither of these too but I recently got Welcome offers (despite getting the card in November) for Spotify and Uber/Uber eats of 5x MR points up to 2,500 points.

No transport offer on my QFF Ultimate.

I did get the entertainment offer via e-mail today however. And the timing is painful because I bought Foo Fighters tickets via Ticketek only yesterday and that would have maxed out the offer in one hit 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Yeah we're not getting much love on our QF Ultimate either

Edit: unless you love feet

The sad thing is, I finally got around to buying a new pair of trainers yesterday to replace my wornout Covid walking pair but couldn’t use my sole remaining shoe offer (Athletes Foot offer…).

I'm considering buying a pair of shoes from Ecco. I recall there used to be an offer for them but not anymore. I can get 5% off putting the spend on another card which I have loaded onto Beem as a funding card. Is there anywhere else I might not have considered? I already looked on OzBargin and all of their offers have expired.

Got this the other day and thought it strange. We spend around 10-15K per month anyway. Standard Plat card.

Is your annual fee due between now and 30 June?

I received a similar offer in January, spend $4k by 30 April to get 20k QFF. It's a bit unusual in that it doesn't matter when you hit the 4k spend, the bonus points don't arrive until after the 'offer period', plus up to 8-10 weeks according to the fine print.

It could be a coincidence, but my annual fee is charged in early April just before the offer period ends. I have an inkling that Amex might drop these in the lead up to an annual fee date as a retention strategy, but it would be good to hear whether that's consistent with your situation..

(FWIW I also received a retention offer by calling, so I have decided to keep the card for another year)

For me the retention offer was " welcome bonus year 2 " after my platinum charge card renew fee paid. totally no idea for that, I didn't ring Amex ask for points anyway.

Did you sign up during a period when Amex was running promotions which included both a year 1 & 2 bonus? e.g. 150k in 1st year, 50k in 2nd year

No, also I didn't get my platinum charge card welcome bonus points due to I had Amex Edge at that time.

I had the same inkling when I received the offer in January. My annual fee is due now in March. Bonus points payable at 30 April.

This could be a really good sign if they're offering retention bonuses (as long as sign up bonuses don't drop).
