New Amex statement credits

Does 28degrees have a companion partnership with Amex ?
No, totally separate company.

Following a different model to most - no annual fees etc but no points. The no charge FX transactions are its lure for us, also if you can be bothered to register it gives free hi-speed wifi in most airports globally & has free lounge access if flight is delayed more than 2 or 3 hours BUT must pre-register your flight. Cannot claim as it happens.

Liquorland $100/$10

Showing on most of my cards except Velocity Plat. Will be good for more CG&M gift cards as I've nearly zeroed the ones from the recent First Choice offer. 😂
I think it is 2015 since LL had an offer that could be used for GCs. Generally their offers are online only. So identical offers from FCL and Vintage Cellars and LL within a few weeks of each other.

On all of my cards. Stocked up on Coles/Myer gift cards from the First Choice and Vintage Cellars offers recently, but I'll give these ago as well. I assume that Liquorland stock the Coles/Myer gift cards?

I can confirm that LL sell Coles-Myer GCs. Amex email received immediately after purchase.
I went to 2 stores. Both had the Coles/Myer cards, although one was in a cupboard so not on display. One purchase tracked immediately via email, the other did not.

Now what is strange is that I am now getting more offers on my Amex companion (28 Degrees) card than I am on either of my different Amex.

I use the fee free 28 Degrees for the fee free international transactions & Amex for most other. Relative spending (in 2020 especially) has favoured Amex more than 6 to 7 to 1 and yet.....
I should have stated 'unofficial' companion card aka from a competitor.

2021 Certainly seeing 28 Degrees on a new track - Feb's offers arrived (some last 3 months). All up around 10 offers, most around a 20% credit. I wonder if this is a deliberate challenge to Amex?

Given the fee-free nature of the card - perhaps they are just trying to speed up the rate of which they convert 'payers' to 'revolvers' (people paying interest on outstanding balances each month?

After all, if you've opted out of the 'increase your credit limit' emails - the CC companies don't have that many alternative avenues to get people hooked.

Here is a little more info;

The Reject Shop - 20 / 5
P.E. Nation - 10% credit each time
Merrell Online - 150 / 20
RM Williams - 400 / 4000 points
I assume gift cards from Reject Shops are available? Anyone know if they also sell 3rd party gift cards?

Didn't see any when shopping today, but they were well stocked with Easter chocolate, kitchen and laundry products, some packaged (shelf) grocery items and things, so will have no problem using all my saved offers here. 😁

Was at St Ives (NSW) LL this morning and was told that the Head office disallowed purchase of mulltiple cards - one card per day per shop. Dd not argue as it's for $10 saving each only (was planning to buy 4x$100)
