Very useful to know. I have $400/$75 on 4 cards so might go buy them for use for the next holiday.

Bought 4x $400 gift cards from FC over the weekend with confirmation emails from AMEX coming through immediately.

We plan to use them in due course for our next US trip in around 12 months however was given some interesting information that those not in a position to use for actual travel expenses may find useful. Not sure if it’s preferable not to post but was given info by one of the staff that if true would allow for this offer to be used to convert directly to cash.

Happy to share if people want and/or if it’s not already known.

Last time this offer was around. I was also given an idea which I think you may also be referring to... I did not try as I needed to book flights. Just be mindful of the fees that are charged. I did read some really bad reviews re the card. ie people losing their funds etc so this didn't seem like an easy cash out.

Anyone with the Platinum Charge Card not receiving many offers? I only have the PayPal, Uber, Catch, Rydo & Cremm offers available. I've had the card for almost a month. Meanwhile the Explorer which I've had for almost a year has over 15 offers at the moment.

I think it's the Eddy Av one....but it is inside the main station where the country train platforms are.

They are aware of the AMEX offer. They actually asked me how manay AMEXs I wanted to use (only had one on me).

I went back when they were quiet and they were very happy to do split payments over mutliple cards. Could not have had a better expereinece topping up.

Credits came through within a few days. No issues.
