New Amex statement credits

I bought gift cards at both Westfield Sydney locations (Nespresso side and MYER side). Was able to split payment for a $100 gift card onto 2 cards. However I only got email confirmation for the first location I went to (Nespresso side), so I fear I might've wasted some money on fees at the other location.

I'm just about to do the same. I noticed the nespresso side just came up as "Westfield Sydney". I'm not sure if it's worth doing the myer side as well.

I'll let you know if I eventually receive the credits for the Myer side. FWIW, the Myer side shows as "Westfield Sydney Central Plaza", so here's hoping.

Should`nt it be once per retailer (company) i.e irrespective of location even if they are in different cities? anyway let us know .

Did it ? I just bought a $100 card across 2 amex in MEL and did`nt get offered the $10 card. Do let us know.

Last year the two Sydney City David Jones stores came up as two different retailers. Can anyone confirm this from today?

It's not quite clear to me, because:

• The 2 Westfield locations appear as different retailers on the statement ("Westfield Sydney" vs "Westfield Sydney Central Plaza").
• The offer terms state that you can redeem the offer once per retailer location.

Had a big day in Sydney this afternoon.

- 14 Coles/Myer Group Gift Cards - $50 on each. I did 2 per register and worked my way up the levels. Staff didn't seem to know there was something going on, and couldn't have cared less. They were all actually very friendly and helpful, which contrasts to my usual suburban Myer!

- 7 $100 Westfield XS Gift Cards at Pitt St - Each card was split over 2 transactions ($50 on one card, $54.95 on the other). Max split is 2 per gift card. The staff on Pitt Street were very switched on and had no dramas doing all 7 cards (14 transactions) in one go. There were plenty of people lined up, and they actually had someone patrolling the line with gift cards in hand. This person would write the value on the card, hand them to you, and then you presented them to the person at the desk who was ready to split the card over 2 cards.

- 7 $100 Westfield XS Gift Cards at George St - Less switched on here, and they needed hand holding and a bit of pushing.

Pitt St and George St do come up as different merchants, however I didn't receive a second email so time will tell.

I think the offer is only for the Myer gift card not the Coles Myer one.

UPDATE : Spoke to customer service , said they should be considered separate locations especially as there is no special mention they are excluded like the Melbourne central
Trenery and other .
Also made note that the credit should be manually posted in case it doesn't automatically .

Westfield were adamant that they could only split each card once (so basically max $100 per gift card). I had gone in expecting to get multiple $50 cards so still a good result

Only one credit for the westfields it seems. Might take a bit longer though if they're doing some kind of manual intervention so I won't chase yet.
