Just went to the Ampol in Crows Nest. They had the Ampol GCs so I bought 1 * 50 and 1 *25 processed in 2 transactions (offer is multi-transaction). No Amex email. I will check tomorrow to see if the offer appears in the Savings tab on the website.

I didn't buy petrol as I am not using any at the moment.

at ampol i got a $100 and $25 gift card and $10 petrol split paid with 3 amex cards that had offer 2 x $65 get $10 back ($130) and 1 for the $5 gets 10% back. didnt get auto email from amex . has anyone received their credits from amex yet for buyiing a ampol gift card automatically? does anyone know what is the amount of card splits possible at ampol is it 3?

No need. With so much discounted alcohol being offered everywhere I’ll take grocery/petrol discount any day.

Unfortunately mine is restricted to online, but if you can get to a location then a CMGC would indeed be a good use of this, and I have bought such with similar Amex Offers before.

good to know. i didnt get the email tracked yet maybe becuase i upgraded card but the card number is the same and offer is still saved to my offers. i should do a screen print in case it disappears.

Didn’t get an email either after buying GCs but when using other cards for petrol I did get the emails. Inconsistent but as long as cashback posts it’s all good.
