They've made this mistake before, when in doubt it's the lower one.

The telstra one would be good, but I have to set up a direct debit? or can i just pay directly into the account?

Terms say you must direct debit. I have setup an Amex dd to run alongside my bank dd - oddly Telstra lets you setup 2 dds on the same account. Telstra charges 1% fee on Amex. I will report back on how it goes.

Boo to that.
My monthly charge is only around $30-40
I don't mind doing a $60 payment and putting myself into credit, but I don't see how I can trigger this offer if my bill never gets above $60.

You can do a direct debit for a fixed amount so do a dd for $60 then once they have actioned it, cancel it.

I also got spend $50 at Woolworths get $25 credit and the same amounts for David Jones....seems rather generous but no complaints!

Surely you are kidding! I believe last time DJs had an offer you had to spend $200 or $250. How many offers are available for each of these two offers? They are not on my account but I will get Mrs SydneySwan to check hers.

Nope! Just double checked they both say Welcome Offer. First 5,000 cards and available until 31/10/14. I was a bit surprised as I knew the DJ's offer was $200 last time.

I only just added a new Platinum Edge card to my account (also have Velocity Escape) so was thinking it may be linked to having that new card?

I've got a hotelclub offer - Register by saving the offer to Card and spend $200 or more, in one or more transactions, online at hotelclub.com before 30/09/14 to receive one $50 statement credit.

Seems they're not giving the 10 bonus points along with the discount.

At least it seems to be Ok using a discount code.

There is a McDonalds offer at the moment that just started this morning. Spend $15 and receive $5 back. Log into your Amex account to activate offer.

noticed in my account:
Shark Fin

FOOD & DRINK / Spend $120 or more, get $20 credit
Register by saving the offer to Card and spend $120 or more, in one transaction, at a Shark Fin restaurant before 13/10/14 to receive one $20 statement credit. Limited to the first 2,000 Cards to register.

For the unfamiliar, they're a chain of Chinese restaurants in Melbourne (3 of them). Surprised to see such an offer.

DD processed on Amex and $20 credit received 2 days later. DD on bank account has now processed for the balance of my statement. DD on Amex now cancelled. Thankyou Amex and Telstra for $19.40 ($20 less .60cents Amex 1% surcharge fee).

I agree - spent some time trying to use this as need some hotels in October in Europe but HC never matched up compared to others.
