News. Air Canada has announced from early 2008 new daily services Sydney to Vancouver and Sydney-LAX-Toronto with their new 777-300ER aircraft. New fully flat bed in J and AVOD throughout etc. This makes the QF service to YVR via SFO look a bit lame. AC has been really hanging out to run these routes with new planes...at last some serious competition for QF across the Pacific. Also United has also just announced its new First and business product for their 744's, still a year or two off though I suspect. But still little joy for MEL passengers other than the NZ service via AKL. Anyway, bring it on AC :!:

If it is early 2008 then launch already been delayed. Was supposed to be December 2007 (following NZ's nonstop YVR service starting November 2007).

The daily AC YVR direct service does indeed commence in December. LAX to follow early 2008, I think that this all has to do with aircraft delivery schedules for their new 777's, I believe that they have or indeed don't need any special approvals.
