Air Asia is flying from the Gold Coast to Auckland (with onward connections to/from KUL) daily using A330s from 23 March 2016.

Introductory fares: OOL-AKL $119 in Economy or $299 in "Business class" (on a flat bed). AKL-OOL introductory price is NZD99.

D7 207 AKL 17:00 - OOL 17:25

I'm a little surprised it took them so long to give this route a crack. They have been playing with schedules in and out of OOL for a few years now alternating between morning and evening arrivals. This gives them the best of both worlds and aircraft utilisation in between. Good news for locals and OOL and continues the expected continued expansion leading up to the Comm games.
