Hi - somehow, despite having enough SCs to requalify for Gold, I am 2 sectors short and don't have any travel planned between now and May16 which is my review date.

It's possible work travel may pop up this month, but if it doesn't I am thinking I will do a flight just to requal.

So - I just want to know, what is the cheapest and easiest way to accrue two sectors. I am sydney based.

Thanks!

I would think a quick trip up to the Gold Coast and back would do it. Their are plenty of flights and quite cheap. Just received a V-mail saying from $79 to fly between April and June.

Byron is $150 return and on sale. You could fly there and back within 3 hours or so.

Consider pooling the SCs to someone else in this circumstance or they will disappear

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it will allow you to book the return flight on the same day. OOL you can sit in the lounge for a hr or 2 and get on the return leg.

incorrect. you can book a same day return if the connection allows it (usually not a problem)..

So the two sectors have to be on different days??

No they can all be on the same day..

Just book a cheap flight from your home port (not sure where it is) and do a day trip and it's done.

Indeed, I believe the gap for a connecting flight must have at least 30 minutes.

The return Byron flight would be on the same aircraft so there's no stress making the next flight if there were delays. You'd be deplaning and reboarding within 15 minutes or so.

I would suggest a quick day trip. Look at gold coast, byron bay, coffs harbour. All comes down to how much you value SG status

Easy way around this would be to book 2 one-way flights but then need to pay the credit card surcharge twice.

Can you pool SCs retrospectively?

No you can't:
