Hey guys how are you? New to this particular forum but some of you might have seen my handle at flyertalk or sqtalk.

With the CBA card changing in Feb, im in the process of getting new cards and organizing my point earning.

Currently I hold a Plat charge card from AMEX and this is where I earn most my points where i transfer to KF when i need to.

My main problem is the VISA / MC side of things. For this very reason i have been looking at getting the KF card with wesptac so i can earn 1 point from every dollar spent whilst minimisng the amount of points directly transferring into the KF account.

A) My main problem with this card is the lack of amount of supp. cards available with the KF Card as im used to having 3 to give out to the family. Im content with even having 2 but Westpac simply isnt budging on this. What way is there around this? Is there a current offer where the PLAT is available free so i can apply for three different cards to get the three different supps and wait for a year till the annual fee comes into play and cancel then and see what other options are there?

Secondly i am also a QF frequent flyer so i was interested in seeing those offers for the bonus points with the westpac earth qf cards. Currently im a silver member what offers am i entitled to and is there any with the card being free?. Also two members of my family are bronze which ones are they entitled to if they also choose to apply. Asking the obvious will you be caught out going for the 40k bonus? has anyone else tried this?

All in all im looking for a solution to the non AMEX spending. I need help in how to get the best KF Plat card deal in order also to maximise supp. cards and also if theres any good QF plat earth card offers picking them up at the same time.

I appreciate all the help and time you guys give and moderators feel free to repost and move this in the KF forum as well if you believe it needs to be. (I didnt as to not appear to flooding the forum)

Thanks again

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Maybe find a bank who supplies a MC/Visa and allow enough supp cards for your needs.

NAB platinum QF card may be an option, as visa card gives you 1.5:1 and AMEX gives 1:1.5 with no cap. The annual fee comes $295.

Would you consider two applications ie one for you, one for partner and then attach two supplementary cards to those?

I think the banks are more interested in making concessions based on the value to the bank more than the value ie FF status. Westpac has been known to make concessions to people based on the size of their loans which could provide more leverage with Westpac.

Thanks for all your help so far.

The only problem with applying for two KF cards i.e one for me and one for the missus is that the points wont go into the one KF account. This makes it easy for redemptions etc.

Basically the Amex side of things is sorted out with everyone having a card earning at least 1.5 points spent per dollar.

The problem lies within what card/s to get when the AMEX isnt accepted.
Would be no problem if Westpac allowed more than one supp card.

Also if getting any other card free or a fee resulting in a lump sum of points to QF would be an option as well.

With the Plat Visa ratio changing in feb with CBA times running out quickly.

What to do lol?
