Ok done some searching and supposedly with dollar rental car if you rent within CA there is no one way charge - however when I go to book online they one way charge appears. I just gave them a ring and they said the charge applies.

Went to use cheap-car-rental.com and appears to offer one way prices, however when you read the fine print, it appears it's open to the discretion of individual dollar locations wether they may charge you anyway.

Any help would be appreciated!

jdlover, I've found Compare Cheap Car Rental with Vroom Vroom Vroom. Avis VS Budget VS Hertz VS Enterprise VS Alamo to be quite competitive and easy to compare different companies. Most fees are included (including one way fees) as well as any taxes. They do the booking for you with the rental company, and you get a reservation code to then liaise direct. Again, fine print may have some hidden nasties, but I've had no problems with them after a few completed rentals. I also have 2 one ways booked with them next year: SFO-LAS and IAD-MIA. Hope you are able to get something worked out.
