Dear AFF'ers,

I've got a TravelBank credit worth $900 (approx) with VA and the expiry is end of Jan 2023. I'm looking at some creative routing options to do one of the following ;

1. I'm VA gold (Discover Gold program) and fly VA very little compared to QF. I need 275 SC and 4 sectors to retain Gold by 11 Feb 2023. So I was thinking I could use the credit and pay a bit more to retain Gold

2. I need 570 approx credits & 8 sectors to attain Platinum.

Given that I don't fly VA that much, I reallyyyyy don't see the point in either of the above 2 options. That being said, the credits expires if I don't use it and it doesn't seem fair to just leave $900 on the table and walkaway, unless VA can give an extension on the expiry of the credit ? I'm going to call VA and ask if they are able to give me an extension or refund that money that they hold in the TravelBank.

Thoughts/advise please.

Alternatively, I'm happy to use the credit to book tickets for someone else ? If that's doable and not in violation of our forum's rules
