NAB Qantas Signature Rewards Card - QF points not crediting

Is this the thread to discuss this offer?

Seem to recall there’s another thread, but it’s here now.

I have that card but it came free with my Private Banking package (so no sign up bonus even though a similar offer was around at the time…). Otherwise not a bad card to have.

Well, I’ve started my rigmarole trying to get any Qantas points from NAB.

First statement had 0 points earned … despite NAB having my correct Qantas number. Guy on the phone logged a job a couple of weeks ago… nothing happened obviously.

Just me or are Jan QF pts MIA?

As an aside, my statement has just under 2x pts for the spend amount (no seperate bonus line item). No idea why?

Yes missing here as well.

Can’t wait to cancel my NAB card.

Their tech is about 5 years behind the market!

Mine’s free (VISA Signature) as part of my banking package. Had it for years. The points normally arrive the day after statement issue. I suspect Oz public holiday has created a wobbly. They’ll arrive in due course.

I still have no idea why there’s double pts on my statement? There’s no “Bonus points line item”.

As an aside, NAB are good for giving bonus points for QF Wine and Hotels. AMEX doesn’t 😔. They’re also giving full pts on utilities.

So I can see a bonus point line, at the bottom of my statement - with the correct amount. Just hasn’t been transferred.

Good point re: Public Holiday.

I still stand by my opinion on their tech / app / website etc!

Have the premium card (not the signature) and appears a similar issue. Card supposed to pay 1pt per $1.50 spend however first statement I’ve received 615 pts on just over $2k spend. Are people ringing up to complain to them or just waiting for it to correct itself?

Update: my points were posted.

I’ve happily closed this card now and rejoined banking in 2023. Nab was astonishingly bad, I mean none of the big four are leaders in tech but wow!

In what way?

Their online platforms, apps, onboarding experience, ability to execute account actions and expansions quickly and without intervention primarily.

The best I’ve found is Mac Bank who invested $$$$ in their platform and it’s pretty good.

4 majors, pretty average. ANZ probably best, but still not great, in my experience and opinion of course having used all of them.

That’s not been my experience. NAB user for years (primary bank) but also UBank, ING, CBA and MacBank (super only) and other CC providers. I can’t say the others are any better or worse (oh, latitude is pretty basic but it’s free).

Certainly wouldn’t be enough to drop my NAB Private/Gold Banking accounts. I get my VISA Signature card gratis plus no international ATM fees.

Will have to disagree on MacBank, they are miles ahead but they have the better platform so a massive advantage.

The rest - meh. Last post as off topic but if you are interested in fintech look at the Ubank acquistiion (awful CX & transition clearly) but the new platform is very interesting!

I didn’t comment on MacBank - I only have super account on their platform, so hard to tell.

Re UBank, fortunately my transition was painless but just annoying to change BSB/Acc# - I guess the price we paid for the new tech they acquired I suppose…

My first NAB statement indicated my QFF number was not linked to the card (despite putting it in at the application stage - 95% confident I did anyway). I called up and had it added, and the 2nd statement period saw all points (1st and 2nd months), and the 90k bonus, into my QFF account. Card now cancelled and balance of annual fee to be refunded -$25.00 for 94000 points
So NAB still do refund the remaining amount on the annual fee for their card?
I’m just about to sign up and wasn’t sure if I’d be out the full amount

Does anyone know if NAB still provides a pro-rata refund of their annual fee?

I've been charged the $149 annual fee before the 1st statement has been issued (with my other cards, it was only charged in the 2nd month / after the 1st statement has been issued).

If they do, I'll cancel my NAB card once I receive the bonus 70k bonus points as I've met the $2k spend already (and have also paid down the balance to $0)).

The first statement has not been issued as of yet, but should be in the next few days.

Three days post Nab statement, and points still have not credited to QFF account. I phoned Manila to check if my QFF number is linked to NAB account - yes of course!

Very irritating. Never happens with Amex

Policy is to not provide a pro-rata refund in the first twelve months.

Thankyou, I guess I'll just cancel after my upcoming trip (keeping it as a backup to my Qantas PP card).

I've got my 70k points so can cancel anytime.

Update - points credited 2 days after second statement.

Be aware that they may make your first statement month shortened - eg 2 weeks instead of a full 30 days.

So it could take up to two months to get the points credited, even if you achieve it in first 30 days. Just something to be aware of if you are in a rush
