My First Trip Report: Oman and Abu Dhabi

I usually would never either, but my First class RTW was purchased at a very nice price so could not resist the chance :)

I am rather thinking i will enjoy Muscat, it is looking like a good place to visit.

I'm only considering First because it's so cheap on an agent industry fare, theres such a negligible difference between that and the J fare I figure why not.

How long will you be in Muscat Evan??

hah, that is another thing I need to learn ~> the RTW!!!!

I had been deligently reading this forum in a hope one day I get the grasp of planning an RTW, but so far, still don't understand

I tried their website doing a mock planning RTW, many times it did not connect (from one place to another place I want to be) so in the end I gave up.

We are planning to do RTW next year, I am sure I will need many helping brains around here, but it has to wait till I came back from our summer holiday.

Sorry it's OT now :(

John, December is the best time to go, it can be down to 1 degree, but most of the time will be around 7-10 during those month.
Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't specifically travel to the Middle East for a holiday but at least I know what to expect if the opportunity ever arises for a stopover or even part of a RTW....

3 days, 2 nights :) i think that is enough for a first visit, if i like it then i stay longer next time (yes you heard right i actually have another LHR-MCT-LHR booked in J for the end of the year !)

Very nice..I highly recommend checking out the Shangri La...not your cheapest option, but you wont be disappointed.

If you want to do any tours, let me know, i'll give you the number of a local company.
