greetings everyone I hope your experience can assist me make the right choices,
firstly can someone explain the seat codes to me what they mean and which is best/worst etc which ones should be avoided if any
secondly we would like to go to usa maybe june/jul 2014 I have over 200k QFF points how can I use them to get max benifit ie maybe book an economy seat and upgrade to business? something else

Y = economy - Y+ = premium economy - J = business class - F = 1st class

Far to many aircraft to list every decent seat, need to be more specific.

Best to book up to 12 months out, it can depend on your QFF status what is available.

For 192K points + near a grand in fees etc. should be able to get a J seat BNE/LAX/BNE. Find a classic award online then try for any seat award via phone, the latter will give you stacks of QFF point back plus status points too.

Upgrades also depend on status and availability, not that flash on USA flights.

With QF you put in a request for an upgrade. You may or may not get it. With no status on the popular Aust USA route expect to fly in the class you purchase. If you get an upgrade thats good: a bonus
