My Card prestige no longer available

I wonder if variation notices are coming to the benefits for the Prestige.... Looks like these changes will occur on the 1st of October.

They don't need to. The variation is simply that the card ceases to exist and becomes a Premier instead. Mind you, it'll be interesting to see what they do with punters who've paid for a full year of annual fees. Presumably a pro-rata refund would be in order.

Yeah I wonder when they'll notify everyone. I only got this card 2 months ago, so I'll be cancelling and pushing hard for a pro-rata refund.

I have this card purely for the Lounge and 4th a night free. Gunna need to source a dozen lounge passes if they pull that perk. Absolutely devo.

Just got off live chat, took a few agents to actually give me an answer as most weren't aware of any changes.

Please be advised that your current MyCard Prestige rewards benefits will remain unchanged until 1 October 2026. Up until that date, you'll continue to earn rewards under your existing Prestige earn rate and program benefits.

From 1 October 2026, the rewards program changes will take effect, and the earn rate currently applicable to your MyCard Prestige card will change. The updated earn rate and rewards structure will apply from that date onwards.

Current state
Rate Domestic: 3 points per $1 on hotels, airlines, dining.
2 Points per $1 on Supermarkets, Petrol and National Retailers
1 Point per $1 on all Eligible Transactions

Future state (1 Oct)
1.5 points per $1 uncapped
2 points per $1 on travel and International spend

Current state
Uber Premier $100 cashback
Luxury Stay “4th Night on Us”
Lounge visits: 15 visits shared with guest

Future state (1 Oct)
Priority Pass Standard Membership
2 Complimentary lounge visits per membership year*
Available to Primary Cardholder only

Your annual fee will be changed as well from $700 to $300.

I enquired about a pro-rata refund If I was to decide to cancel the card and not move to the Premier, and was told that it "may" be offered. But I think legally they will have to offer it if they're discontinuing a product?

Should be able to argue a larger refund particularly if you hadn't yet used all the benefits, you paid the annual fee on the expectation of having a full 12 months to utilise all benefits, they cannot expect you to bring travel forward etc in order to utilise it all prior to the product ceasing.
