No idea why they want to cut the premium card market. This is the last card with more than 2 priority pass entry available besides the expensive AMEX card. Looking for alternatives so keen to hear anyone ‘s thoughts

Bankwest More World Master card might be the go, unfortunately they knocked me back.

I see Qantas are talking about a new premium credit card somehow linked to earning status credits on reward flights. Are they making room for that card?

I wonder if this means that changes are coming to the benefits for existing cardholders?

Chances are they may reduce even further the benefits of existing Prestige cardholder

My card anniversary is coming up end of Sept. Not sure if I should cancel this card before being slapped with the AF or anyone managed to call for a discount on the fees?

I tried getting a discount right after they reduced and restructured the benefits sometime last year. I mentioned the diminished value of the card on the phone and all I got told is that they have cheaper products available if I want to switch to those instead...

It is worth calling to see as they might have relaxed on this a bit lately.

I applied on 21st June and uploaded payslips on the 22nd.
Got an email on the 25th implying I was approved and asking for ID verification which I then received and completed on the 29th June.

Then nothing. Just crickets. Sent a follow up on Thursday I haven’t heard back from.

Will be really bummed if I don’t get it as I have a large trip at the end of the year I was counting on the lounge passes and 4th night free for.

I rang today, apparently my card is approved subject to manual ID verification but I was warned this could take up to 15 business days!

Nice. Manual as in you have to go into a branch or you’re just in a queue for a human to look at your application?
