RYANAIR last night revealed how it was brought down to earth by a jar of mushrooms

Nothing like being kept in the dark and fed on S..t about what the delay is.

I read this and I am left thinking... what are the chances of that?

ie.

1. I imagine the chances of someone carrying Mushroom soup/oil (whatever it was!) in the overhead locker are very small, then...
2. The chances of that container leaking drops the odds down further, then...
3. the odds of having someone sit underneath that leaking container who is extremely allergic to mushrooms...

I have to think... what are the chances of that? :shock:

I'd say extremely small (I don't knowwhat the incidence of mushroom allergy is, but it is not one of those commonly mentioned allergise)

Probably the same as an Air Cylinder mysteriously exploding with no apparent cause (ie not something hitting the valve), it then flying up into a cabin, hitting the roof, and coming back down to escape through a hole in the side of the aircraft that was caused when it exploded.
