Hi,
Going to Barcelona in the middle of next year and want to use my 170,000 pts to get me and the boss over there in business.
AA's site can route me on Qantas via Sin and the onto Helsinki on Finn and then to BCL, which isn't too bad.
Only issue is an all day wait in Helsinki for the flight to Spain, not the end of the world.

Using other search engines, i can separately find Qantas in J to Hong Kong and then Cathay J to Spain, but these are as 2 individual searches on different sites.
Could an AA CSR put these together as one 85k award ???

Would prefer Etihad, but I read that AA treats Etihad reward to Europe as 2 legs for some sill reason.

cheers

They should be able to. Call and be specific about what you want. You may have to feed them exact flight numbers.

Australia to Europe allows a transfer in Asia so that should be fine.

The AA site never brings up Cathay, so I usually check on either Qf or the BA site for CX rewards. Then call AA.
