Hi all,

Apologies if this thread shouldn't be here, but I'm not sure where else to ask this question. I am looking to make a multi-city booking with QF (SYD-LAX, JFK-SYD), however I want to book a Saver fare so that I can request a points upgrade. Does anyone know how I can change the fare type with multi city bookings on the QF site (currently getting Sale fare by default)? Or do I have to call up for this?

I tried to change the search option to "more flexible" but this gives me a Flex fare which I'm not after.

Any help would be appreciated :)

perhaps ther are no "saver" fares for that type of itinerary. im speculating. You could ring QF customer service and see what they think.

One of the great mysteries of life.

I believe there is no way to choose Saver fares on a Multi-City because you are choosing a row not a column.

As mentioned call QF reservations and they should be able to book in whatever class you want and hopefully they will waive the assisted booking fee.

You will definitely need to call up. The minimum class you need to request an upgrade is S class.

Thanks guys!

I did call up QF and they were able to book the Saver fare for me, with the booking fee waived. Already placed my upgrade requests! :D The fare worked out exactly what was expected when looking at the price of the individual SYD-LAX and JFK-SYD sectors when searching separately for SYD-LAX and SYD-JFK return on the QF site.
