The IHG partnership exit is official and it looks like Mr & Mrs Smith has moved to Hyatt. No official launch date yet but currently there is a MMS gift card promo on the Hyatt Website. For every $300 USD spent you get 1 elite night credit which counts towards this years status. 5 WoH Base Points apply per $1 USD on these MMS gift card purchases, which also counts towards status.

Personally, this is interesting as you can redeem these gift cards on QTs in Australia through the MMS website. There are MMS-participating hotels where there isn't a Hyatt (e.g. Newcastle or Byron Bay).

DP: Successfully used the gift cards (even though they are in USD) for QT Newcastle, and thus it should work for other Australian hotels.

Very excited if this opens up a wide range of Hyatt points redemptions in Australia at good prices. 1 April is rumoured to be the start date for full integration between Hyatt and MMS.
