Hey guy/gals

Long time lurker first time poster seeking your travelling experience.

Have an upcoming trip from Syd - Mel with Virgin Australia. I have just checked my partners (female) return tickets and note that it is listed as Mr xx_X xx_xx_ rather than Ms xx_X xx_xx_.

Will this cause an issue at checkin/boarding?

Many thanks in advance for your help :)

I can't speak for Virgin Australia, but had the exact same thing with JetBlue in the US. Mr printed instead of Mrs. For me it was a bad mistake, well seemed so at first because I booked it through a dodgy website, and they were wanting to charge a massive fee to make the change. I talked direct with the airline, and they said it didn't matter what gender was on there, but they just made the change anyway, no charge. Good luck

Booked my daughter as Mr on QF instead of Ms.
A smile and a comment about her (not so) old dodgy dad and there was no issue.

there is no chance they will ask, and if they do, just tell her to respond with "how dare you assume my gender"
that will shut them up instantly.

Its sad, but true.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies.

I also asked a few others I know and they have also told me it wouldn't matter either.

Me being the worrier I am called Virgin and they said it would need to be changed. They changed it for me free of charge.

Thanks again.

Have accidentally booked myself as Ms Ewing before when I wasn't wearing my glasses.

Didn't notice until I checked in and it wasn't mentioned but glad you fixed it up. I probably would have called too :)
