Hey Guys,

I just called Qantas to redeem a Multiple Purpose Document (MPD) voucher for $200 for a flight.

They were VERY VERY hard to hear on the phone dunno if it was them or me but tried calling Qantas back again but waited for 20 minutes and still no answer so gave up.

Just wondering if anyone knows the address to send the vouchers too?

From what I could hear it was

QET (this is the part i have no idea about?)
Locked Bag
B767
Mascot NSW 2020

Anyone know if this is the correct address?

Thanks

I KNOW THIS IS A 4 MONTH OLD POST, BUT IT MAY ASIST OTHERS IN THE FUTURE.

QET stands for Qantas Express Ticketing.
Youd need to address it as follows:

Qantas Express Ticketing
Locked Bag B767
Mascot NSW 2020

with the MPD you will need to include the RECLOC (PNR) of the booking you made over the phone or better still a printout of the booking from your FF account (if you are a member, or from the website if you arent). Make sure your contact details are included also, just in case. The tickets will be issued within a few days of QET receiving the MPD and you will get an email confirming the flights have been ticketed. It was much easier when the travel centres operated as you could just drop it in so despite the current process being somewhat convoluted, it does work reasonably smoothly.

Ah! Those nice vouchers. I really had problems cashing them in from Europe. My travel agent could not use them. QF Germany had no idea. The ticketing desk in MEL had no idea either. I cashed them in the city office in BNE, because I was lucky to travel to Australia more than once in a year.

The system with mailing them in sounds a bit complicated - especially from overseas.

I inquired about this recently at the MEL ticketing desk, and they assured me that they are able to accept these vouchers as payment (whole or part) for a booking made either by phone or online. I may shortly find out if they were right!

I wish I had read this thread earlier..

I sent one off but I heard QDT instead of QET from the CSR.. Reckon there'll be much delay in processing my ticket?! I depart in less than 2 weeks!

I also hand-wrote a cover letter :D, but it did have the ticket number and booking reference in it and my QFF number on it too, so I'd hope someone would be able to contact me!

Eek.

as long as the locked bag is correct it'll be fine. I'm redeemed one of these recently that I had previously tried to redeem early this year. As such I had the envelope already addressed to send to QET. When I redeemed it in the last month that had change to QDT or something else that wasn't QET. Long story short, don't worry about it, as long as you have the PNR included and locked bag B767.

Not online AFAIK, but via phone, or refund with cash from the airport (if refund is allowed)

It's QDT for "Qantas Direct ticketing". Just redeemed a 500 Dollar voucher two weeks ago. In my case, everything went well though for some reason I never received an email confirmation so had to call up again- was sorted within 10 seconds so all good now :D

This happened with me as well - when I called in October and asked to double check if it was E or D after reading on AFF, they confirmed that it was "Qantas Direct Ticketing" and that "Express" was the old name.
