This might not be as stunning as the other photos on this thread. It is one of the monuments at the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux in France. The caption on the stone is: "Their name liveth for evermore" My father was wounded here in August 1918 and I wanted to see where Australian troops had fought so gallantly. I was on a private tour with six other Australians. It was a little bit eerie to walk around this area and villages in the surrounding countryside where my father may have walked 96 years ago. We are lucky for those sacrifices that allow us to travel so "freely" today.

Did Route 66 back in April and May. Made a few detours including one to Monument Valley. Well worth it.

I used up some free night at the Westin St Maarten (it also got me the final miles to hit AA Executive Platinum). Took a single prop over to St Bart's as a side trip. 01451954441.jpg If I could post a second one it would be the ball drop in Times Square. :)

I spent time in Monterey and SFO, but not in 5* hotels and Michelin 3-hat food so I guess doesn't qualify for a TR. So respectfully, I submit this photo of sea-nettles at Monterey Aquarium as a most special place I visited:

I have an almost identical photo from my visit there. I spent ages in that area watching the various tanks.

So I may have cheated a little but it's only one photo :)- Clockwise from top left Zion National Park (a truly amazing drive through there), Hubbard Glacier (awe inspiring), Mendenhall Glacier (lucky encounter) and Bryce Canyon (much better than the Grand Canyon)

I loved the drive through from Zion to Bryce. We were given the baton to drive through the mountain tunnel, happy to pass on the other end.

me too - I felt great handing over the baton - the day I was driving to Zion I was only 12 miles from Springdale and came across a rockfall and had to do a 2 hour detour to get to my hotel. The road opened a couple of days later and that drive from Springdale to Mt Carmel Junction was something I will never forget - it was just amazing - I must do my trip report one day

In the early stages on the way up Everest, before the avalanche.
Photo made it to the centre spread of Great Walks magazine.
Unfortunately just after this, our drone crashed..

They aren't cheap, that's what would stop me getting one, if all of a sudden they stop working... bye bye expensive drone & gopro/camera
