Most frivolous flight you've taken?

Boys, boys, boys !!! I'd like to hear from some of the girls about this !!

I regularly fly from my remote country location to the city for the day for a haircut, top level shopping, great bookshops and lunch somewhere recommended in the food guides. Balances out the country living which has limited choices (or none!). My city friends say that I know more about Melbourne and its shops and special places than they do !

I've also flown from NYC to Cleveland for breakfast with a work colleague - just because I wanted to meet her face to face !:D

Lasty year after finishing an exam, I decided to extend my study leave by a day and fly down to Sydney to visit a mate. So after my exam finished at 1ish, I headed to the airport for the 3pm to Sydney. He worked for Sunrise and I knew he wasn't going to stick around for too long so my standing offer to come and see behind the scenes of "Sunrise" was about to lapse.

I arrived in Sydney and we went out for dinner. At 4am the next morning, we were up with the sparrows and drove into the city. For the rest of morning I sat at the Channel 7 Sydney news desk behind the cameras on the Sunrise set and chatted to Mel and Kochie and the rest of the crew in the breaks. It's a bit overrated but still a great experience.

Another upcoming "fruitless" flight is for the FT AGM being held in Brisbane. Instead of driving to the airport, I'm flying BNE-SYD-BNE and sampling the new FLounge.

But generally, I'm pretty tame.

Took a flight earlier this year Sydney to London to deliver some very important documents for work (too important and urgent to trust a courier), arrived LHR in the AM, did the drop off at head office/said hi to a few workmates, checked into a hotel, showered, had an hours sleep, walked around for a few hours to stretch my legs and had a few ales, got a cab back out to LHR, got the evening flight back out to Sydney that PM . F class, all on the company :D! Got home buggered! Great status points earnt, though! Just made Platinum for another year and partner Gold membership (2100 status points). Yay! :)

Next month (Oct), I am flying up on the 24th Sydney to Singapore, staying overnight at the airport, then next day on 25th will take the very first commercial flight on the A380 with Singaporeair to Sydney.:p

I flew to Paris and back in 7 days for a 30 minute medical procedure on my hands. The frivolous part was I did it First class in Singapore airlines and shouted my daughter to come with me too. Cost a few points though.

Need any new employees :D

I wouldn't say frivolous, but flew from CDG-LHR-SFO-SYD-BNE-ISA in one hit, the only stop over was in BNE as no connection til the following morning. Good bit was LHR-SFO-SYD was in first.
