Most disappointing destinations

Brussels - it just lacks the "wow" factor other European capitals have.
Disneyland Paris - not as good as the American original, feels a bit out of place.
Naples - great food but there are better things to do and see in Italy.

The writer hates Vegas???? Even my 1yo loved Vegas!!! (Well every pic I took of her she was smiling :))) )

Smoke filled casino's??? I only really noticed that in Harrah's when walking from the monorail to the strip!

And Disney world???

Surely there are worse places in the world to visit??? Maybe he/she needs to get out more

Bali / Ubud from the arrivals hall at DPS onwards!
Rome Metro (was robbed and that was compounded by the indifference of the police)
Brisbane :)

Brisbane (Qld), Pisa in Italy, Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia generally as well as deadly dull and plastic Singapore would be top of my 'most disappointing' list.

Los Angeles would also be up there.

Can't agree with you on Bris Vegas coz I live here ;) however I think a lot of people besides going to LAX for Disneyland, Universal Studios go to 'see' Hollywood but are disappointed because they envisage it's a place wall to wall with celebs like you'd see on the red carpet for events like The Oscars, Emmy's, SAG Awards etc and are then disappointed when they find the reality is something quite different.

Pisa is best viewed from a non stop express train.

Dont knock the city of angels, they make no outlandish representations

Water at Disney FL is only $2.50? coughtails $8.50? I'm from SYD - take me there NOW!

Florence let me down a bit, I didn't really get it other than seeing David which was cool. I'm yet to 'love' London either, other than the pubs which are the platinum standard of boozers. LA yeah. It ain't easy, but I've been led to believe its there if you really look (in a car, of course).

I did a walking tour of Florence, you will appreciate that. When you understand it was the intellectual centre of the world it makes more sense.

It seems to be a typical tactic of writers/websites these days to invoke discussion/comments by spreading "berley" to catch comments and therefore more readers i.e. controversy equals comments. Really, Temple Bar on the disappointing site!!! They must be from the Temperance League! Then Las Vegas???? Always reminds me of the guy who said the cinematography in "Lawerence of Arabia" was very poor!!!

Try;
Singapore – Sterility personified; how many countries have amanicured garden from the airport to the city?
Kuala Lumpur – want to be Singapore, no more said..
Dubai - Lego city built on sand; buy –in labour andentertainment
Brussels – Refer Monty python song!
Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, tree hugger capital, but where is the city?
Fredriksted US Virgin Isles – Still recovering from thehurricane 25 years ago!!!
Hyderabad- at least you know what to expect in Kolkata!

Detroit - Great if you drive a car.....

yes forgot to add it to my list. Stayed at the Marriott there and they take sharp intruments from the room, just in case you want to do something!!!!!

I thought immediately of Casablanca, then I saw it on the list as well!

I reluctantly spent a New Years Eve in Kuala Lumpur once.
The most boring experience ever.
The city is still refined as one of my more avoided destinations.
